Galle International Stadium
Fort backdrop in the south, Tests since 1998
Overview
Galle sits beside the 17th century Dutch fort and is the most picturesque ground in Sri Lanka. The 2004 tsunami devastated the stadium and it was rebuilt and reopened in 2007. Muttiah Muralitharan took more than a hundred Test wickets at the ground, his favorite hunting ground.
