Allan Border
11,174 Test runs, the world record when he retired
Overview
Border rebuilt Australian cricket from the depths of the mid 1980s, captaining the 1987 World Cup win and setting a record of 153 consecutive Test appearances. His 11,174 Test runs stood as the world mark until Brian Lara passed it in 1995. The Border Gavaskar Trophy carries his name.
