The Gabba
Brisbane fortress, first Test in 1931
Overview
The Gabba was long Australia fortress, unbeaten in Test cricket at the ground from 1988 until January 2021, when India chased 328 to breach the streak. The tradition of opening each Australian summer in Brisbane ended with the ground unavailable in recent seasons. Its bouncy pitch has favored pace bowling for decades.
