Overview
Jayawardene was a graceful right handed batsman and astute captain for Sri Lanka. At the SSC in Colombo in 2006 he scored 374 against South Africa and shared a stand of 624 with Kumar Sangakkara, the highest partnership in Test history. He played in several World Cup finals and was part of the side that won the 2014 World T20.
