Shane Warne
708 Test wickets and the Ball of the Century in 1993
Overview
Warne revived leg spin as a strike weapon, starting with the Gatting ball at Old Trafford in 1993. He took 708 Test wickets at 25.41, the world record when he retired in 2007, and 40 wickets in the 2005 Ashes despite England winning the series. He was the greatest wrist spinner and arguably the finest bowler of all.
