Steve Waugh
10,927 Test runs and the 1999 World Cup as captain
Overview
Waugh transformed Australia into the most ruthless team in history, winning 16 consecutive Tests through 1999 and 2001. He made 32 Test centuries and famously said you just dropped the World Cup to a teammate who did exactly that at Headingley in 1999. He lifted the 1999 World Cup in the same year.
