Overview
Richards batted with regal menace, making 1,710 Test runs in the 1976 calendar year and 189 not out at Old Trafford in the same summer. He scored 138 not out in the 1979 World Cup final at Lords. As captain he never lost a Test series between 1985 and 1991.
