Overview
Eden Gardens is the most atmospheric ground in India, host of the 1987 World Cup final. In 2001, VVS Laxman made 281 and Harbhajan Singh took 13 wickets as India ended the Australian winning streak of 16 Tests. The 1996 World Cup semi-final here ended in crowd trouble that became part of cricket folklore.
