Tendulkar debuted for India at 16 in 1989 and played 24 years, compiling 15,921 Test runs, a record, and the first one day double hundred in 2010. The Desert Storm innings at Sharjah in 1998 became legend. He lifted the World Cup at his home Wankhede in 2011, his sixth attempt, and was carried around the ground.
